Dragons Summer Abroad & Student Travel Programs in Africa
In Africa, Dragons offers an authentic view into rich cultural, political, and spiritual heritages of diverse ethnic groups on an often misperceived continent. Whether joining us on a journey through the desert landscapes and whitewashed cityscapes of Morocco, across the Baobab tree-covered plains of Senegal, or the rolling green hills of Rwanda, all of our Africa programs offer a strong home-stay component, and are distinguished by a focus on human-to-human relationships and the comparison of traditional values juxtaposed with the benefits of emerging modernization.
On a Dragons program in Africa, expect to learn the basics of local languages, visit various non-governmental agencies, and investigate expressions of Islam and Christianity that are distinctly unique to the African continent. All of Dragons’ Africa programs are especially well-suited for the mature student and zealous adventurer who is resilient, strong in body and mind, and ready to dive into a challenging and immensely rewarding cross-cultural experience.
