Marolyn Vidaurre de la Riva

M.S., Ecology and Conservation from Universidad Mayor de San Andrés in La Paz, Bolivia. Marolyn loves spending time in nature and learning about the relationship between humans and the natural environment. Marolyn is a biologist and a natural history guide. Since she was a child, her passions have been watching the birds and mammals of the forest, swimming in the rivers and walking into the jungle. Now, Marolyn is committed to the conservation and preservation of the natural environment, and every step she takes in her life is in order to work for a better world for the next generations. As a biologist she has had the chance to travel throughout her home country of Bolivia. She has developed diverse research projects focused on conservation in some of the most remote parts of her country. For six years she was dedicated to environmental education in rural areas. Some of the subjects that she enjoys teaching are: sustainable development, ecology, management of natural resources, bird biology, biodiversity, and conservation issues. Marolyn joined Where There Be Dragons in 2008, during Bolivia and Andes and Amazon Semesters.
