Grace Barrett
Hailing from Washington, D.C., Grace cultivated her love for the outdoors at a young age, exploring the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and the rolling hills of Vermont.
After high school, Grace took a gap year and traveled to India, where she completed a 40-day Himalaya trek and was able to spend time in remote mountain communities. Her travels through rural South Asia ignited her passion for experiential and outdoor education. Grace has since settled in Lyons, Colorado where she attended CU Boulder, working seasonally in outdoor education. Grace spent two seasons working at High Trails Outdoor Education Center, where she led backpacking, horse packing, and mountain biking trips. She was inspired by the strength that students found in these adventures, and it encouraged her to continue guiding young adults along the path less traveled.
Grace has been with Dragons since October of 2017, helping prospective students and parents through the admissions process. This summer, Grace is excited to join the community of Dragons instructors working in the field. When not working, you can find her rock climbing, hiking, and mountain biking with her husky pup, Luca.
