Joe Gonzalez

Joe was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Home for him means family and food.

He began to explore the possibilities of adventuring while working in the educational world of children’s theatre. After working for a summer camp, he was inspired to become an outdoor instructor. Acting on this new desire, he took up a few outdoor education jobs on the west coast of the United States, which shaped and paved his way to work and travel abroad. He is grateful for the opportunities he has had as an outdoor educator and trip leader, which has brought him to China, Taiwan, and New Zealand.

Most recently, Joe has fallen in love with farming while spending a year working on organic and self-sustainable farms in Colorado and Hawai’i.

When not working, he is exploring national parks, eating tacos, writing, and learning photography!
