Hania Harmsen Villa

With three nationalities, Hania has plenty of places she can call Home. She was born in Chile, where she spent her early childhood. Then she and her family moved to Arequipa, Perú, where she grow up and develop her love to trek in the Andean mountains. She later moved to Spain to pursue her university studies. Her decision to take anthropological studies was based on the fact that she has always felt between cultures and she wanted to understand cultural diversities.

In recent years, Hania has worked with indigenous and peasant communities in Mexico, Guatemala and Perú through international cooperation. She specializes in project management, where she is able to integrate her knowledge in anthropology, women empowerment, territoriality, human rights and environment.
She’s passionate about fighting climate change, socioeconomic and environmental justice, conscious travelling, trekking and biking.
