Sabina Cecilia Ajcot Sosof
Graduate in Pedagogy and Educational Administration
Sabina is Maya Kaqchikel. She was raised in San Lucas Toliman, Sololá, Guatemala, near one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, Lake Atitlan.
Sabina has worked at the Mesoamerican Institute of Permaculture-IMAP for more than seven years in various roles including communication, education coordination, and logistics. Her experience includes the creation of permaculture educational programs with a focus on the Mayan worldview.
Currently, Sabina specializes in program management for national and international educators and students to learn about food sovereignty, permaculture topics, and the historical political context of Guatemala.
In her free time, Sabina enjoys traveling and carrying out cultural exchanges to continue learning about the global reality and looking for life alternatives in the face of different challenges.
Sabina has proven experience in community-based education. She firmly believes that education is not only a right but is also essential for the sustainable development of different people.
