Your Journey Starts Here

Senegal is a vibrant hub of cultural innovation, where young artists, musicians, and activists are reshaping the future of West Africa. On this immersive journey, we explore how Senegalese youth are drawing from deep cultural roots to inspire change—while reflecting on how we can do the same in our own lives.

Our program begins in Saint Louis, where we dive into Wolof and French language lessons, connect with local artists, and explore environmental justice efforts along the Atlantic coast. As we meet with youth leaders, musicians, and change makers, we gain insight into the country’s complex history and the creative resilience of its people.

In the holy city of Touba, we explore Senegal’s rich spiritual traditions and learn about the intersection of religion, politics, and daily life. The journey culminates in Thies, where short homestays and independent projects—like drumming, dance, or crafts—allow for deep cultural exchange and hands-on learning.

Through shared meals, language immersion, and time spent in community, we return home with new artistic skills, meaningful relationships, and a clearer sense of how youth across the globe are working to create more just, joyful, and sustainable futures.

Arriving early in the morning in Senegal, we hop on a bus to head north towards St. Louis, where we spend the first few days of our program in a small seaside community located inside of one of Senegal’s national parks. On the sandy shores of the nearby beaches and in the shade of the local trees, we begin to learn about one another, connect as a team, and explore Senegalese culture, religion, and history. We practice new Wolof greetings, and learn how to take care of our bodies and minds as we travel through this new and exciting country.
