- Explore your connection with the earth through ceremonies facilitated by renowned wisdom keepers from the Queros nation.
- Journey by foot along ancient paths with breathtaking views of lakes and waterfalls.
- Be welcomed into a far-from-home family of Incan descendants in the village of Paru Paru, an off-the-tourist path community in the Sacred Valley.
- Discuss climate change, agricultural diversity, and other environmental issues through the site visits and discussions with local community members.
- Practice Spanish and learn basic phrases in Quechua through personalized lessons and hands-on excursions.
OPTIONAL DAY TRIP TO MACHU PICCHU
Join us on a journey to Machu Picchu on June 18th-19th. We will learn about the rise and fall of the Incan Empire, traditional tourism vs. ecotourism and conservation practices, and the depths of Andean cosmology. We will rise early and reach the site late in the morning to ascend the original Incan steps to this mystical archaeological site. If you have never experienced the majesty of Machu Picchu, we highly recommend this additional excursion! We will return to Cusco that evening. Additional Fee: $750
