Amal Bachikh
Amal is from Marrakesh, Morocco, and is a current master’s student in Business Management. She is deeply passionate about farming, traveling, cooking, and being involved in her community. She comes from a family rooted in tourism. Her father was one of the first tour guides in Marrakesh and she was raised with a unique perspective on cultural exchange and social justice. She feels that this perspective was influenced by the rich, global atmosphere of her hometown.
What distinguishes Amal’s work with Dragons is her belief that the organization caters to travelers, not tourists. This approach aligns with her values, as it fosters meaningful cultural exchanges rather than superficial experiences. Planning programs for Dragons is one of her true passions, as it allows her to travel in her mind by imagining how the journey of students will unfold. Through this process, Amal serves not only as a guide and instructor but also as a teacher, care taker, and family to her students, creating deep relationships while acquiring valuable skills.
Amal is fluent in Arabic, French, English, and beginner-level Spanish, and certified in Wilderness First Aid (WFA), Amal is committed to helping others, whether through her work with young people, her involvement in Moroccan community associations, or her dedication to learning about different cultures and what brings people joy.
