Beatriz Sanchez
BTEC in Media, Brighton and Hove City College
BA HONS in Animation, Westminster University, London, UK
Bea grew up in Andalusia, Spain in the city of Granada, although she has spent time in many corners of the world. She believes that approaching the world as a student, because any opportunity can teach something new, helps her to better understand the world we are living in. Dragons brings together for her all the skills and hobbies she has developed in her life so far. She believes that working with youth allows her to see life from another perspective, and if we can help to inspire them to create a better world then is a total success.
Bea has been exposed to many different languages and cultures throughout her life but the thing she is most proud of is being the co founder and CEO of her own NGO, Operación Encina (Holm Oak Operation). She created this NGO with her dad and they have accelerated the growth process of trees using recycled plastic. In addition, they have also developed their own educational system dedicated entirely to restore ecosystems in high risk of desertification, and implementing their activities in educational centers all over Grenada. Bea is also passionate about sharing scientific research in outlets on social media and runs an environmental school for kids from 4-10 years old.
She also loves art, culture, history, gastronomy but especially nature and loves outdoors activities such as trekking, canoeing, kayaking, and skiing. She is also a TEFL Qualified Cambridge English Teacher since 2014 and a
Qualified Instructor of Environmental Education.
