Inka Wolf
M.A. in Translation, Textual Interpretation (in progress)
B.A. in Buddhist Philosophy and Himalayan Languages
Inka grew up in different parts of Germany but knew from a young age that she had to leave the comfort of what she knew to find her own path. She also had a deep urge to explore the world around her and understand her experience of it more deeply. This urge is still the driving force in her life. Now she calls Nepal “home” and has been interpreting, translating, and teaching Buddhist philosophy and Tibetan language for eight years.
After high-school, Inka’s journey took her first to New Zealand for a year, then to Australia, Thailand, India, and Nepal. Her spiritual interests made her pursue a B.A. at Rangjung Yeshe Institute in Nepal. She has been living in Nepal and India since then – studying Buddhist philosophy and Himalayan languages (mainly Tibetan and Nepali), interpreting, and translating Tibetan to English Buddhist teachings and texts, exploring the cultures of the Nepal by immersing herself completely, staying with different host families and living at and participating in the daily activities at Buddhist, and falling in love with Nepal, the Himalayas, and its people.
In her free time Inka likes to explore new places and cultures, find moments of stillness, and enjoy the beauty of the Himalayas, the hill areas, and the plains of Nepal. She likes to hike or travels overland on her motorbike, usually accompanied by her dog, Luca.
