Mounirou is a dynamic educator and cultural advocate originally from Senegal, a country known for its rich cultural and linguistic diversity. With a deep passion for languages and intercultural exchange, he has dedicated his career to teaching French and promoting African and Francophone cultures.

Mounirou holds a Master’s degree in Development and Business Strategy from Gaston Berger University, and has a strong background in entrepreneurship. He is the founder of IEWAC (International Exchange to West African Countries), an organization designed to introduce West African cultures to North American audiences through educational programs and immersive experiences.

In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Mounirou has taught French across a variety of settings, engaging with a broad spectrum of learners, from school-aged children to adults and families. Notably, he worked within the Concordia Language Villages, where he prepared students for language exams. This role allowed him to refine his teaching methodology, emphasizing communication and the rapid acquisition of language skills through immersive experiences.

Mounirou’s current work with Dragons offers him a chance to combine his passions for language education and intercultural exchange. He is committed to fostering open-mindedness and curiosity in young people, encouraging them to explore the world in diverse ways and to embrace cultural differences. His belief that learning extends far beyond the classroom is central to his approach, and he views cultural immersion as a powerful tool for personal and intellectual growth.

For Mounirou, Ngor Beach in Dakar represents a personal haven of peace—a place for reflection, connection with nature, and rejuvenation. These values of balance and introspection are deeply integrated into his educational philosophy. Outside of his professional life, Mounirou is passionate about the djembé, an instrument that embodies the heart and rhythm of African culture. He also enjoys fitness, which plays a significant role in maintaining both his physical well-being and discipline. Fluent in French, English, Wolof, and conversational in Pular, Mounirou Sow continues to share his love for languages and cultures with the world, inspiring others to engage with the richness of global diversity.
