Natalie Cox

Outreach Associate

B.S., Biomedical Sciences, Northern Arizona University

Wilderness First Responder

Natalie’s journey began in Northern California, but her love for adventure and learning has since taken her all over the western U.S. She spent her college years in Flagstaff, Arizona, studying physiology, biochemistry, and psychology, which fueled her passion for understanding the human body and mind. As a competitive cross-country runner, Natalie developed a strong sense of discipline, perseverance, and mental toughness—traits that would carry her through her athletic career.

After college, Natalie pursued a variety of roles that blended her love for the outdoors with her desire to help others—from guiding wilderness therapy backpacking programs to teaching rock climbing and working as a surgical assistant. These diverse experiences reinforced her belief in the power of hands-on learning and personal growth through physical and emotional challenges.

Now based in Colorado, Natalie works at a local climbing gym, where she combines her knowledge of physiology and her passion for outdoor adventure to help others push their limits—physically and mentally. When she’s not working, she’s always seeking her next adventure, whether it’s paddleboarding, backpacking, or ice climbing. Occasionally, her trusty kitty cat, Kiwi, joins her outdoors sharing in her love for adventure.
