Noureddine Mouzouni

Morocco Assistant Country Coordinator & Instructor

Noureddine first began working with Dragons as a homestay family host and later grew into the role of an instructor. Originally from the Ait Bougamez valley, in the Moroccan High Atlas Mountains. His parents were nomads and he grew up a shepherd, herding large flocks of sheep and goats – a livelihood that he accredits much of his knowledge about the world to.

In addition to herding animals, Noureddine spent much of his life farming and eventually working in Morocco’s growing field of tourism. Inspired by his childhood trekking trips, he worked as a muleteer before becoming a licensed tour guide in the mountains.

Although he continuously learns from his time in nature, as Noureddine got older he was eager to gain new perspectives about the world and went on to study philosophy and English at university.

Noureddine proudly speaks Tamazight, a language that despite being considered one of the oldest languages in the world, was only recognized as an official language in Morocco in 2011. He also speaks Darija, Standard Arabic, and English. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, football (soccer), and running.
He is always eager to share his culture, traditions, and lifestyle with students and to help them create meaningful experiences in Morocco.
