Stephanie Guarachi

B.A. Human Ecology, College of the Atlantic

Stephanie was born and raised in Oruro, Bolivia. At the age of 16, she began her activist life by becoming a Bolivian youth representative for Mercosur, where she fought for a better high school education across South American countries. Her passion, discipline, and ideals helped her earn a full scholarship to United World College in China. Stephanie obtained her International Baccalaureate degree in UWC-CSC and then moved to the US to pursue her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Ecology at the College of the Atlantic. She now lives in Cochabamba, Bolivia, where she runs a social enterprise named Ampuy Camp. Her goal is to take teens into the outdoors while training them to apply for scholarships and job opportunities worldwide. Stephanie has been recognized as a Young Woman Leader by the Social and Solidarity Economic Forum 2023 and is a founding member of the Global Partnership of Indigenous Youth. Her role as a leader and educator for young Bolivians and Americans has allowed her to delve deeper into cross-border cooperation and environmental activism.
